Raunatin Indications
Hypertension mild and moderate.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to Rauwolfia alkaloids; hypotension, cardiac insufficiency, organic heart disease, bradycardia, aortic defects, expressed cerebral atherosclerosis, depression, epilepsy, Parkinson's, gastric ulcer and duodenal ulcer in the acute stage, ulcerative colitis, nephrosclerosis, asthma, pheochromocytoma, electroconvulsive therapy (drug should be cancel at least 7 days prior to electroconvulsive therapy).
Dosage & Administration
Raunatin prescribed for adults inside after eating.
On Day 1 starting dose is usually 1 tablet at night on Day 2 - 1 tablet 2 times a day on day 3 - 1 tablet 3 times a day, then bring total dose to 4-6 tablets per day. After achieving sustained therapeutic effect (usually 10-14 days) the dose gradually to 1-2 tablets a day. The course of treatment - 3-4 weeks, but in some cases the testimony of drug taking in long-term maintenance dose (1 tablet per day).
