Proxium Indications
Adults and children aged 12 and over.
- Reflux esophagitis.
Adults
- Eradication of Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) in patients with H. pylori - associated stomach ulcers and duodenal ulcers in combination with appropriate antibiotics.
- An ulcer of the duodenum.
- Gastric ulcer
- Zollinger-Ellison syndrome and other hypersecretory abnormal conditions.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to the active substance, derivatives of benzimidazole and any component of the drug.
Dosage & Adminsitration
Doses up to 240 mg administered intravenously over 2 minutes were well tolerated. Since pantoprazole extensively binds to proteins, it does not belong to drugs that are easily derived by dialysis.
In case of overdose with the onset of clinical signs of intoxication, symptomatic and supportive therapy is used. There are no specific therapies recommendations.
In case of overdose with signs of intoxication, common detoxification measures are used.
