Pimafucort Indications
Short-term treatment of superficial dermatoses subject to corticosteroid therapy complicated by secondary bacterial and / or fungal infections (especially those caused by fungi of the genus Candida) sensitive to neomycin and natamycin.
Contradictions
Because Pimafucort® contains hydrocortisone (a low-acting corticosteroid), there are the following contraindications:
- skin disease caused by primary bacterial infections; primary infections caused by fungi and yeast; parasitic infections (including severe and severe skin damage);
- viral infections;
- skin wounds and ulcers, trophic ulcers, burns;
- side effects caused by corticosteroids (perioral dermatitis, stretch marks);
- ichthyosis, juvenile plantar dermatosis, acne vulgaris, rosacea, fragility of skin blood vessels, skin atrophy.
Pimafucort® should not be used in the external auditory canal when perforating the eardrum.
In addition, Pimafucort® should not be used in case of hypersensitivity to neomycin, natamycin, aminoglycosides or corticosteroids (very rare), or to any of the excipients.
Dosage & Administration
The drug is applied in a thin layer on the affected areas of skin 2-4 times a day. The duration of treatment is determined individually by the doctor depending on the nature of the disease. The course of treatment should not exceed 14 days.
Pimafucort® in this dosage form is most suitable for the treatment of acute and subacute skin diseases, as well as for the treatment of areas of skin covered with hair and areas with wrinkles.
Children. The drug should be used in children over 1 year of age, under medical supervision.
