INDICATIONS: Gel Pantestin Darnitsa used topically for the following indications:
- Paediatric if diaper rash and diaper dermatitis for the prevention of infections; in surgery for the treatment of wounds of various genesis and localization, including surgical wounds, venous ulcers and pressure sores in the regeneration phase (2nd phase of wound healing.
- Combustiology in the treatment of burn wounds granulating, while preparing them to autodermoplasty and after plastic surgery to improve healing of skin grafts; for the treatment of sunburn.
- In nuclear medicine for the prevention of radiation injuries of the mucous membranes, the skin and surrounding tissues and also for the treatment of ulcers in the radial regeneration phase; for treating skin infections, particularly secondarily infected eczema and neurodermatitis; when home accidents for the treatment of minor abrasions, cuts, scrapes, burns and prevention of infections.
- In gynecology for the treatment of cervical erosion, vaginitis and erosive lesions of the vaginal mucosa.
CONTRAINDICATIONS: idiosyncrasy of the drug. Not recommended for use in the first phase of wound healing in severe purulent exudate. The drug is not for applications on a perforated eardrum due to the presence in it miramistina.
SIDE EFFECTS: in rare cases, when applying the gel may cause allergic reactions. When applied gel on wounds and burns may occur feeling of slight burning sensation that takes place on their own and do not require discontinuation of therapy.
