Otrivin Indications
Symptomatic treatment of nasal congestion with colds, hay fever, while other allergic rhinitis, sinusitis.
To facilitate the outflow of secretions in diseases of the paranasal sinuses.
Adjunctive therapy in cases of otitis media (for removal of mucosal edema).
To facilitate rhinoscopy.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to any component of the drug; acute coronary disease, coronary asthma, hyperthyroidism, angle-closure glaucoma, transfenoyidalna hipofizektomiya and surgical intervention oholyuvannyam mater in history. Concomitant treatment of MAO inhibitors and within 2 weeks of discontinuation of their use.
Dosage & Administration
Before the introduction of the drug should thoroughly clean the nasal cavity.
Otrivin, nasal drops 0.05% used for children aged 1 to 11 years.
Otrivin, nasal drops 0.1%, apply to adults and children under the age of 12 years.
Nasal drops 0.05%
- used in children aged 1 to 5 years (under adult supervision) 1-2 drops in each nostril 1-2 times a day, but no more than 3 times in each nostril per day;
- used for children aged 6 to 11 years (under adult supervision), 2-4 drops in each nostril 2-3 times a day.
Apply no more than 3 times in each nostril daily.
The duration of treatment depends on the disease and should not exceed 7 consecutive days.
Nasal drops 0.1%
Apply to adults and children over 12 years 2-4 drops in each nostril 3 times a day.
Apply no more than 3 times in each nostril daily.
The duration of treatment depends on the disease and should not exceed 10 consecutive days.
