Ospexin Indications
Treatment of infections caused by susceptible microorganisms to cephalexin:
- upper respiratory tract and respiratory tract (pharyngitis, otitis media, sinusitis, tonsillitis, bronchitis, pneumonia);
- urogenital system (pyelonephritis, cystitis, urethritis, prostatitis, epididymitis, endometritis,Vulvovaginal);
- skin and soft tissue (furunculosis, abscess, cellulitis, pyoderma, lymphadenitis);
- bone and joints (osteomyelitis).
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to cephalosporins or other beta-lactam antibiotics, as well as drug excipients; porphyria; infection of the brain or spinal cord; initial therapy of severe generalized infection, treatment of which requires the use of forms of parenteral cephalosporins.
Dosage & Administration
Ospexin® is used orally.
The usual daily dose for children (weighing less than 40 kg) is 25-50 mg / kg (depending on the severity and localization of infection), which is divided into 2-4 receptions.
In severe disease the dose can be doubled. In the treatment of acute otitis media recommended dose is 75-100 mg / kg body weight, divided into 2-4 receptions.
