ORZID Indications
The treatment of the following infections in adults and children, including newborns:
- In-hospital pneumonia;
- Respiratory tract infections in patients with cystic fibrosis;
- Bacterial meningitis;
- Chronic otitis media;
- Malignant otitis externa;
- Complicated urinary tract infections;
- Complicated infections of the skin and soft tissues;
- Complicated abdominal infections;
- Infections of bones and joints;
- Peritonitis related to the dialysis patients who are on continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to ceftazidime or any other drug.
Hypersensitivity to cephalosporin antibiotics.
A history of severe hypersensitivity (eg, anaphylactic reaction) to other beta-lactam antibiotics (penicillins, carbapenems and Monobactam).
