Nimesyn Indicantions
Treatment of acute pain, primary dysmenorrhea. Nimesulide should be used only as a second-line drug.
The decision to appoint nimesulide should be taken based on the assessment of the risks to the patient.
Contraindications
Known hypersensitivity to nimesulide or to any component of the drug. Hyperergic reactions in history (bronchospasm, rhinitis, urticaria) in connection with the use of aspirin or other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. Hepatotoxic reactions to nimesulide in history.
Concomitant use of other substances with potential hepatotoxicity.
Alcoholism and drug addiction.
Suspected acute surgical pathology.
Gastrointestinal bleeding or perforation of the history associated with the previous use of NSAIDs.
Gastric ulcer or duodenal ulcer in the acute phase, a history of ulcers, perforations or bleeding in the digestive tract.
A history of cerebrovascular bleeding or other bleeding, and diseases associated with bleeding.
Severe blood coagulation disorders.
Severe heart failure.
Severe renal impairment.
Abnormal liver function.
Patients with high fever and / or flu-like symptoms ..
Dosage & Administration
To minimize unwanted side effects, you should use the lowest effective dose for the shortest time. Nimesyn® recommended to be taken after meals.
The maximum duration of treatment Nimesyn® - 15 days.
Adults. Nimesulide 100 mg (1 tablet) 2 times a day after meals.
Elderly patients. Dose adjustment is required.
Children under the age of 12 years. Dose adjustment is required.
Patients with impaired renal function. For patients with mild or moderate renal impairment (creatinine clearance 30-80 ml / min) dose adjustment is not needed, while severely impaired renal function (creatinine clearance ˂30 ml / h) is a contraindication for use.
Children. Nimesyn is contraindicated for children under 12 years.
