Nifuroxazide Indications
Acute and chronic diarrhea of infectious genesis.
Contradictions
Hypersensitivity to nifuroxazide and to other nitrofuran derivatives or to any of the excipients.
Dsage & Administration
Adults and children from the age of 7 years use 2 tablets 4 times a day (every 6 hours). The drug is used internally, drinking a small amount of water, regardless of food intake.
Duration of treatment - no more than 7 days. In the treatment of acute diarrhea it is imperative to have continuous oral or intravenous replenishment of the fluid deficit in the body, depending on the general condition of the patient.
Children
Nifuroxazide tablets coated with 0.1 g are used in children aged 7 years and older.
Children under the age of 7 years use nifuroxazide in the form of a suspension.
