Mucitus Indications
The reduction in viscosity and facilitating expectoration of bronchial secretions in the treatment of acute and chronic diseases of the upper and lower respiratory tract infections such as bronchitis, rhinitis, sinusitis, larynhofarynhit, exacerbation of chronic bronchitis, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), hipersekretorna asthma, bronchiectasis.
Prevention of recurrent episodes of infections and complications after surgery, such as pneumonia or partial lung atelectasis.
Also, this drug is indicated as concomitant therapy with antibiotics if bacterial respiratory infections.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients containing free SH-group.
Stop use of this drug in the following cases:
- In disorders of the liver (eg by increasing the levels of alkaline phosphatase enzymes or serum);
- Renal insufficiency (creatinine clearance <25 mL / min).
Dosage & Administration
Children aged 8 to 12 years, the recommended dose is 150 mg 2 times a day; for adults and children over 12 years - 300 mg 2 times a day.
The course of treatment determined by the physician. In acute uncomplicated disease drug use 5-10 days. Term treatment for chronic diseases determined by the physician.
