Monafox Indications
Topical treatment of bacterial external ocular infections caused by strains sensitive to moxifloxacin.
Attention should be paid to official recommendations for the appropriate use of antibacterial agents.
Contradictions
Hypersensitivity to the active substance, other quinolones or to any of the components of the drug.
Dosage & Administration
Use in adults, including the elderly.
The recommended dose is 1 drop of the drug in the affected eye (s) 3 times a day.
Improvement usually occurs within 5 days, but treatment should be continued
2 - 3 days. If no improvement is observed within 5 days of starting treatment, the correctness of the diagnosis and / or treatment should be reconsidered. The duration of treatment depends on the severity of the disease, the clinical course and the results of bacteriological examination.
Children.
There is no need to adjust the dosage.
Use in patients with impaired liver and kidney function.

Application method
Drip in the eyes.
To prevent contamination of the dispenser tip and solution, make sure that the dispenser tip does not come into contact with the eyelids or adjacent areas.
In order to prevent the absorption of drops through the nasal mucosa, especially in newborns and young children, it is recommended to close the nasolacrimal duct with your fingers for 2-3 minutes after the introduction of the drops.
If more than one ophthalmic agent is used for topical use, the interval between their use should be at least 5 minutes. Eye ointments should be applied last.
Children.
Do not use in children under 2 years of age.
