Xymelin Extra Indications
Symptomatic treatment of acute respiratory diseases with symptoms of rhinitis (runny nose) and rhinorrhea.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to the drug; hypersensitivity to atropine or to similar drugs such hyoscyamine, scopolamine; after surgery on a hard shell of the brain, such transfenoyidalna hipofizektomiya transnazalni or other transactions; acute coronary disease, coronary asthma, hyperthyroidism; glaucoma patients, patients with dry rhinitis.
Dosage & Administration
Intranasally.
The recommended dose for adults is 1 injection 3 times a day in each nostril. The interval between drug use Xymelin Extra must be at least 6 hours.
The duration of treatment is 7 days. Prolonged treatment ksilometazolina can cause swelling of the nasal mucosa and increased secretion, due to the sensitive cells - the "boomerang effect."
After the disappearance of symptoms is recommended to stop drug treatment to minimize the risk of adverse reactions.
The experience of the drug in patients of advanced age (over 70 years) is limited.
One injection drug Xymelin Extra contains approximately 70 mcg and 84 mcg ksilometazoline ipratropium bromide.
