Captopress Indications
Arterial hypertension.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to captopril, other ACE inhibitors, hydrochlorothiazide to other drugs sulfonamide derivatives or other ingredients.
A history of angioedema during treatment with other ACE inhibitors.
Congenital (idiopathic) angioedema.
Severe renal impairment (creatinine concentration in plasma over 1.8 mg / 100 ml or creatinine clearance less than 30 ml / min).
Bilateral renal artery stenosis or stenosis of the artery of a single kidney with progressive azotemia.
Condition kidney transplantation.
Anury.
Aortic Stenosis mouth and other obstructive disorders that hinder the release of blood from the left ventricle.
Severe hepatic impairment (prekomatoznyy status, hepatic coma).
Primary hyperaldosteronism.
Porphyria.
Hypokalemia, hyponatremia with hypovolemia, hypercalcemia, gout.
Dosage & Administration
Drug use inside an hour before a meal, as the presence of food in the stomach absorbability of the drug decreases.
The dose set individually, depending on the clinical disease.
The initial dose is ½ tablet (25 mg captopril and 12.5 mg hydrochlorothiazide) 1 every day.
In the future, if needed maintenance dose may be increased to 1 tablet (50 mg captopril and 25 mg hydrochlorothiazide) 1 every day.
