Doxybene Indications
- Doxycycline is used to treat infections caused by susceptible strains of gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms, and some other organisms, such as:
- Respiratory tract infections, pneumonia and other lower respiratory tract disease caused by susceptible strains of Streptococcus pneumoniae, Haemophilus influenza. Pneumonia caused by Mycoplasma pneumoniae. Treatment of chronic bronchitis, sinusitis.
- Urinary tract infections, infections caused by susceptible strains of species Klebsiella, Enterobacter, and the bacteria Escherichia coli, Streptococcus faecalis.
- Diseases transmitted through sexual contact, infection caused by Chlamydia trachomatis, including uncomplicated urethral and endocervical infection and infection of the rectum. Nehonokokovi urethritis caused by Ureaplasma urealyticum (T-mycoplasma). Chancroid, granuloma inguinal, venereal granuloma. Doxycycline is an alternative treatment for gonorrhea and syphilis.
- Skin infections: acne, if necessary, the use of antibiotics.
- Ophthalmic infections: infections caused by susceptible bacteria gonococci, staphylococci and Haemophilus influenza. The infection that causes trachoma, is not always eliminated, as evidenced during immunofluorescent analysis. For treatment paratrahomy doxycycline may be used as monotherapy or in combination with other drugs.
- Other infections: psittacosis, brucellosis (when using in combination with streptomycin), cholera, bubonic plague, typhus epidemic reverse; tick fever reverse; tularemia, melioidosis, tropical malaria resistant to hlorokvinu and acute intestinal amebiasis (when using in combination with amebitsyd).
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to doxycycline, any excipient of the drug or other tetracyclines.
- Severe hepatic impairment.
- Patients who have allergies to soy or peanuts, you should not use this drug.
