Tiodaron Indications
Relapse prevention:
- ventricular tachycardia, a life-threatening patient: treatment should be started in the hospital in the presence of continuous monitoring of the patient;
- symptomatic ventricular tachycardia (documented), which leads to disability;
- supraventricular tachycardia (documented), which requires treatment, and in those cases where other drugs have no therapeutic effect or are contraindicated;
- ventricular fibrillation.
Treatment of supraventricular tachycardia: slowing or reduction in atrial fibrillation or flutter.
Ischemic heart disease and / or left ventricular dysfunction.
Dosage & Administration
Tiodaron is taken orally in doses, based on the amiodarone hydrochloride.
The usual recommended dose for adults is 1 tablet 3 times a day for 8-10 days. In some cases, early treatment can be taken 4-5 tablets a day, and short-lived under ECG control.
Supportive daily dose for adults is ½-2 tablets per day, depending on the patient's response to drug use Tiodaron.
The drug can be administered at a dose of 1 tablet per day every other day or ½ daily tablet per day. Possible break in reception for 2 days a week.
Contradictions
- sinus bradycardia, AV-block II and III degree (without pacemaker);
- syndrome sick sinus, sinoatrial block;
- severe conduction disorders;
- hypersensitivity to iodine, and amiodarone hydrochloride Thiotriazoline and other ingredients;
- dysfunction of the thyroid gland (hyperthyroidism), hypotension severe course, renal failure, the combination with drugs capable of causing paroxysmal ventricular tachycardia according to the type of pirouette
