Tebantin Indications
Epilepsy.
Gabapentin is used as an additional drug in the treatment of partial seizures with or without secondary generalization in adults and children aged 6 years (see. Section "Pharmacodynamics").
Gabapentin is used as monotherapy in the treatment of partial seizures with or without secondary generalization in adults and children aged 12 years.
Neuropathic pain.
Gabapentin is indicated for the treatment of peripheral neuropathic pain, such as painful diabetic neuropathy and post-herpetic neuralgia in adults.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients.
Dosage & Administration
Suitable for oral administration.
Gabapentin can be taken with meals or alone. The drug should drink plenty of fluids (eg a glass of water).
For all indications for initiation of therapy used selection scheme described in Table 3. This scheme is recommended for adults and children over 12 years. Instructions for selecting doses for children under 12 years listed in a separate section.
