SULFADIMETHOXINUM Indication

Infectious-inflammatory diseases caused by sensitive to the drug microflora, tonsillitis, bronchitis, pneumonia, sinusitis, otitis, dysentery, inflammatory diseases of the biliary and urinary tract infections, gonorrhea, erysipelas, pyoderma, meningitis, infection of wounds, trachoma, toxoplasmosis, shigellosis resistant forms malaria (in combination with antimalarial drugs).

Contraindication

A history of severe toxic and allergic reactions to sulfonamides, hypersensitivity to the drug, inhibition of bone marrow hematopoiesis, agranulocytosis, hemolytic anemia, kidney and / or liver failure, decompensated chronic heart failure, deficiency of glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase, porphyria, azotemia, drug fever , severe dermatitis.

Dosage and administration

Children under 12 years prescribe in 1 day sulfadymetokynu 1 g (2 tablets) in the next few days - sulfadimetoksin 500 mg (1 tablet) per day. Children aged 3 to 12 years sulfadimetoksin administered in doses in 1 day - 25 mg / kg in the next few days - 12.5 mg / kg body weight per day.
