Streptocide tablets
Active substance: sulfanilamide;
Indication. Infectious-inflammatory diseases caused by microorganisms sensitive to the drug: infections of the skin and mucous membranes (wounds, ulcers, bedsores), enterocolitis, pyelitis, cystitis.
Contraindication. Individual sensitivity to sulfonamides, sulfones or other components of the drug; a history of severe toxic and allergic reactions to sulfonamides; suppression of bone marrow hematopoiesis; uncompensated heart failure; diseases of the blood system; anemia; leukopenia; Graves' disease; liver and kidney disease (principally, nephritis, hepatic failure, severe renal failure, acute hepatitis); hyperthyroidism; congenital deficiency of glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase; azotemia; porphyria.
Dosage and administration. Take inside during or after eating, drinking 150-200 ml of water.
Dose for adults and children 12 years of age is 600 mg-1.2 g daily dose - 3-6 g daily dose distribute on 5 receptions.
The maximum dose for adults: single - 2 grams daily - 7 hours.
Single dose for children aged 3 to 6 years - 300 mg, 6 to 12 years - 300-600 mg. Multiplicity Admission for children is 4-6 per day. The maximum daily dose for children - 0,9-2,4 g
The duration of treatment determined by the physician individually depending on the severity and course of the disease, the localization process, the effectiveness of therapy.
