Rosart Indications
Adults
Treatment of hypercholesterolemia:
Primary Hypercholesterolemia (type IIa) or mixed dyslipidaemia (type IIb) - as an adjunct to diet when the effectiveness of diet or other non-drug methods (eg exercise, weight reduction) is inadequate;
Homozygous familial hypercholesterolemia - as an adjunct to diet and other lipid-lowering therapies (eg LDL apheresis) or when such treatments are inappropriate.
Prevention of cardiovascular disorders
Rozart shown to reduce the risk of serious cardiovascular events in adult patients with an increased risk of atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease, as evidenced by the presence of risk factors such as age, hypertension, low HDL cholesterol, elevated levels of CRP, smoking or indication in the family history of the early development of coronary artery disease.
Treatment of atherosclerosis
In order to reduce or delay disease progression in adults, which showed lipid-lowering therapy.
Children (age 10-17 years: boys - stage II or higher on a scale of Tener, girls - at least 1 year after the first menstrual period).

Dosage & Administration
Before starting treatment the patient must assign a standard holesterinsnizhayuschuyu diet to be followed throughout the treatment.
Dose is prescribed individually depending on the purpose of therapy and treatment efficacy using current consensus recommendations.
Rozart can be taken at any time of the day, regardless of meals. The tablet does not chew and grind, swallow whole with water.
Contradictions
Hypersensitivity to rosuvastatin or any other excipient;
liver disease in its active phase, including an unknown etiology, persistent elevation of transaminases in blood plasma and any increase in transaminase more than 3 times the upper limit of normal (ULN);
severe renal dysfunction (creatinine clearance <30 mL / min);
myopathy;
concomitant use of cyclosporine.
A dose of 40 mg is contraindicated in patients with factors that contribute to the development of myopathy / rhabdomyolysis. These factors include:
violation of moderate severity of renal function (creatinine clearance <60 mL / min);
hypothyroidism;
the presence of an individual or family history of hereditary muscle diseases;
a history miotoksichnosti caused by other inhibitors of HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor or fibrate;
alcohol abuse;
conditions that may lead to increased blood levels of the drug in the plasma;
patient belonging to the Mongoloid race;
concurrent use of fibrates.
