Raxetin Indications
episodes of major depression;
obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD);
panic disorder with / without agoraphobia;
social anxiety disorder / social phobia;
generalized anxiety disorder;
post-traumatic stress disorder.
Contradictions
Hypersensitivity to paroxetine or any excipient product. Contraindicated use of paroxetine in combination with MAO inhibitors, including Linezolid - an antibiotic which is a reversible non-selective MAO inhibitor and methylthioninium chloride (methylene blue).
Dosage & Adminisatration
Recommend taking paroxetine 1 time per day in the morning with liquid during a meal.
The episode of major depression
The recommended daily dose is 20 mg. Generally improvement in patients starts after 1 week, but a definite improvement is observed only from the 2nd week of treatment.
As with all other antidepressants, depending on the clinical condition of the patient dosing regimen should be reviewed, and if necessary to adjust the 3-4th week of therapy.
Panic disorder
The recommended dose - 40 mg / day. Treatment should start with 10 mg / day, depending on the clinical response of the patient gradually increase the dose of 10 mg / day to achieve the recommended dose.
Social Anxiety Disorder / Social Phobia
The recommended dose - 20 mg / day. When poor clinical response in a few weeks of therapy with the recommended dose for some patients clinical effect can be observed by gradually increasing the dose to 10 mg / day to a maximum daily dose of 50 mg.
Post-traumatic stress disorder
The recommended daily dose is 20 mg. When poor clinical response in a few weeks of therapy with the recommended dose for some patients clinical effect can be observed by gradually increasing the dose to 10 mg / day to a maximum daily dose of 50 mg.
