Quetiron Indications
Acute and chronic psychoses of various etiologies, psychosis due to schizophrenia.
Manic episodes associated with bipolar disorder.
Contradictions
Individual hypersensitivity to any component of the formulation.
Dosage & Administration
Tablets Quetiron are taken orally 2 times a day during or between meals. The dose and duration of treatment determined by the doctor for each patient individually depending on the indication and the severity of the disease.
Adults
A course of treatment of acute and chronic psychosis, including schizophrenic. In the first 4 days of treatment the daily dose is 1 day - 50 mg, 2 minutes - 100 mg, 3rd - 200 mg, 4 minutes - 300 mg. Starting with 4 days increase the dose to achieve the desired clinical effect (in the range 300-450 mg / day). Depending on the clinical efficacy and tolerability Quetiron daily dose can be 150-750 mg.
The maximum daily dose for the treatment of schizophrenia - Quetiron 750 mg.
A course of treatment of manic episodes associated with bipolar disorder. The daily dose during the first 4 days of treatment: 1 day - 100 mg, 2 minutes - 200 mg, 3rd - 300 mg, 4 minutes - 400 mg. Further dose increase (but no more than 200 mg daily) to 800 mg / day, starting from the 6th day of treatment. Depending on the clinical efficacy and tolerability of the drug dose can be 200-800 mg / day.
The maximum daily dose Quetiron for the treatment of manic episodes - 800 mg.
