Triphthazin Indications
Schizophrenia, especially paranoid, simple (with apatite-abulicheskimi syndrome), nuclear schizophrenia with severe paranoid-hallucinatory phenomena (with psychopathy, neurosis, hypochondriac, senestopaticheskoy symptoms), periodic schizophrenia.
Health Triftazin-used in other psychiatric disorders, for which is accompanied by delusional symptomatology and hallucinations: alcoholic hallucinations and paranoia, involutional psychoses and neuroses.
The drug can be used as an antiemetic.
Dosage & Administration
Applied intramuscularly. The starting dose for adults is 1-2 mg. Repeated administration produced in 4-6 hours; with more frequent injections are possible cumulative effects. The daily dose is generally equal to 6 mg, in exceptional cases - 10 mg.
When depressive-hallucinatory and depressive-delusional states Triftazinused in conjunction with antidepressants.
TriftazinTreatment should be individualized strictly depending on the disease. Duration of treatment should not exceed 12 weeks.
Contraindications
Acute and chronic inflammatory liver disease, heart disease with impaired conduction in the stage of decompensation, severe kidney disease, inhibition of bone marrow hematopoiesis, pregnancy, lactation, children under 6 years, hypersensitivity to the drug.
