Triaprilan Indications
Tiaprilan is used at psoriasis and disorders of movement, such as Huntington's disease. Early and tardive dyskinesia.
Psychomotor disorders in the elderly. Psychomotor disorders in chronic alcoholism.
Contradictions
hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any components of the drug; tumor epithelial breast cancer; pheochromocytoma; the simultaneous use of levodopa.
Dosage & Administration
Tiaprilana tablets should be taken whole, without chewing, drinking plenty of fluids, preferably during meals.
Dose set individually. The daily dose is distributed into 3 doses.
Dyskinesia and movement disorders
Early dyskinesia: 150-400 mg / day; tardive dyskinesia: 300-800 mg / day.
Huntington's Disease: 300-1200 mg / day.
Psychomotor disorders in the elderly: 200-400 mg / day.
Psychomotor disorders in chronic alcoholism: 300-400 mg / day.
Violation of the liver or kidneys. For patients with severe renal insufficiency, the dose should be reduced. It recommended dose reduction, as well as the temporary discontinuation of treatment. For patients with a creatinine clearance of 11-20 ml / min, the daily dose should be reduced by a factor of 2, and 1/4 the standard recommended dose (tablet can be divided) with creatinine clearance <10 mL / min.
Patients with impaired hepatic function dose adjustment is required.
The duration of treatment depends on the clinical symptoms.
