Quetixol Indications
Treatment of schizophrenia. Treatment of manic episodes fl ¢ related with bipolar disorder.
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to any component of the drug.
- Simultaneous treatment with inhibitors of cytochrome P450, such as HIV protease inhibitors, azolovmisnyh antifungal agents, erythromycin, clarithromycin and nefazodone.
Dosage & Aministration
Adults should apply 2 times a day regardless of the meal.

For the treatment of schizophrenia
The total daily dose for the first 4 days of therapy is 50 mg (Day 1), 100 mg
(Day 2), 200 mg (Day 3) and 300 mg (Day 4).
Starting from 4th day further dose should be titrated to the usual effective dose limits of 300-450 mg per day. Depending on the clinical efficacy and tolerability of individual treatment dose may be adjusted within 150-750 mg per day.
For monotherapy or adjunct therapy mood stabilizer total daily dose for the first four days of therapy is 100 mg (Day 1), 200 mg (Day 2), 300 mg (Day 3) and 400 mg (4 day). Further dose escalation to 800 mg daily for 6 day should occur gradually with increasing doses of no more than 200 mg per day.
