Fluoxetin Indications
It is used for adults during depression of various origins, including those resistant to treatment with other antidepressants, obsessive-phobic disorders, bulimic neurosis, anorexia, alcoholism.
Dosing & Administration
Assign only to adults regardless of mealtime. The initial dose - 1 tablet (20 mg) once daily 1 in the morning.
If necessary, after 3-4 weeks the dose is increased to 2-3 tablets (40-60 mg) per day in 2-3 divided doses (morning and evening). When bulimic neurosis daily dose - 3 pills (60 mg) in 3 divided doses.
The highest daily dose - 4 tablets (80 mg). The course of treatment - 2 - 3 months.
The frequency and duration of application shall be established by the doctor individually!
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to the drug, pregnancy, lactation, child age, general use with monoamine oxidase inhibitors, as well as for 14 days after the termination of their admission, liver and kidney failure, epilepsy, convulsive state in history, suicidal thoughts, glaucoma, bladder atony, benign prostatic hyperplasia.
