PMS Ursodiol Indications
For symptomatic treatment of cholestatic liver disease such as primary biliary cirrhosis.
Contraindications
Ursodiol is contraindicated in case of hypersensitivity to ursodeoxycholic acid, or other ingredients. Ursodiol is not indicated for the treatment of decompensated cirrhosis. Ursodiol is contraindicated in bile duct obstruction, acute inflammation of the gallbladder or bile ducts. Ursodiol is contraindicated in children weighing up to 35 kg. Ursodiol is contraindicated during pregnancy and lactation.
Dosage & Administration
PMS-Ursodiol is used orally.
The recommended dose of ursodiol for the treatment of primary biliary cirrhosis is 10-15 mg / kg / day dose is divided into 2-4 reception. The drug is taken with food.
In the case of the drug dose passes should be taken immediately, as soon as it will be possible. However, if you are already approaching the time for your next dose, you must go to a regular regimen, do not compensate the missed dose. In no event should not take a double dose of the drug.
