Pertussin Indications
Cough in tracheitis, bronchitis, pneumonia, whooping cough, inflammatory diseases of the upper respiratory tract.
Contraindications
Individual hypersensitivity to the drug, including bromides; decompensation of the cardiovascular system, hypotension, expressed atherosclerosis, anemia, kidney disease, diabetes, alcoholism. Trimester of pregnancy and lactation. Children age 3 years.
Dosage & Administration
Pertussin is administered internally.
Children under 6 years 2.5-5 ml (½ - 1 teaspoon) previously dissolved in 20 ml (2 dessert spoons) of cooled boiled water 3 times a day.
Children aged 6 to 12 years 10 to 15 ml (1 dessert or 1 tablespoon) 3 times a day.
Adults - 15 ml (1 tablespoon) 3 times a day.
Duration of treatment is determined individually.
