Orgil INDICATIONS

Trichomoniasis (urinary infections in women and marital caused by Trichomonas vaginalis); amebiasis (all of intestinal infections caused by Entamoeba histolytica, including amoebic dysentery, all forms of extra-intestinal amebiasis, especially amebic liver abscess); giardiasis; prevention of infections caused by anaerobic bacteria after surgery on the colon and gynecologic surgery.

CONTRADICTIONS 

Giperchuvstvitelnostk components of the drug or to other nitroimidazole derivatives. Patients with central nervous system (epilepsy, brain injury, multiple sclerosis); pathological lesions of blood or other hematologic abnormalities. Pregnancy and lactation. Children under 3 years old.

DOSAGE & ADMINISTRATION

Orgil® administered orally after meals, washed down with a little water.

Trichomoniasis. The recommended dosing regimen of the drug:

a) The course of treatment - 1 day:

- Adults and children weighing more than 35 kg - 3 tablets at the reception in the evening;

- Daily dose for children weighing more than 20 kg is 25 mg of ornidazole per 1 kg of body weight and administered in 1 reception.

b) The course of treatment - 5 days:

- Adults and children weighing more than 35 kg - 2 tablets (1 tablet morning and evening).

- Children weighing less than 35 kg is not recommended. To prevent re-infection, the sexual partner should pass the exact course of treatment.

Amebiasis. Possible regimes:

a) 3-day course of treatment of patients with amoebic dysentery;

b) a 5-10 day course of treatment for all forms of amoebiasis.
