NORMACOL Indications

Preparation for X-ray and endoscopic examination of the rectosigmoid division of the colon.

Symptomatic treatment of constipation of the lower intestinal tract, especially as a result of difficulty in defecation.

Contradictions

Hypersensitivity to the drug or to any of its components.

Violation of electrolyte balance with sodium retention, congestive heart failure.

Intestinal obstruction.

Acute renal failure. Megacolon (congenital or acquired significant enlargement of the part or the entire colon).

Dosage & Administration

Apply rectally. The patient should lie on the left side, knees should be bent.

Remove the protective cap, carefully insert the tip into the anus and squeeze out the contents of the vial until the liquid flows out of it. With the advent of resistance to stop using the enemas. Enforced enema can lead to injury.

After the introduction of an enema, the patient should keep the position lying on the back or side before the need to empty.

Symptomatic treatment of constipation: 1 enema for 5-20 minutes before being selected for time defecation.

Preparation for X-ray and endoscopic examination: 1 enema in the afternoon and 1 enema in the morning on the day of the examination.

The maximum dose is 1 enemas per day.
