Nicaromax lyophilisate Indications
- Acute and chronic cerebrovascular metabolism as a result of atherosclerosis, thrombosis and cerebral vascular embolism, transient cerebral circulatory disorders (transient ischemic attack).
- Headache.
- Additional therapy for the treatment of hypertension.
- Additional therapy for hypertensive crisis.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to the active substance, ergot alkaloids or to any component of the drug.
Recent myocardial infarction, acute bleeding, orthostatic hypotension, severe bradycardia.
Simultaneous treatment with sympathomimetic (agonists, alpha or beta receptors).
Dosage & Administration
Intramuscular injection: 2-4 mg (2-4 ml) twice a day (lyophilizate diluted with water for injection or physiological sodium chloride solution to 2-4 ml).
Slow intravenous infusion: 4-8 mg dissolved in 100 mL of 0.9% sodium chloride or 5% glucose solution. According to the doctor this dose can re-apply throughout the day.
If necessary, medication can be used intra 4 mg dissolved in 10 mL of 0.9% sodium chloride solution, slowly for 2 minutes or more.
Duration of treatment and route of administration depend on the severity of the clinical manifestations of the disease. In some cases it is advisable to start treatment with parenteral drug administration, and then switch to oral.
Elderly patients. According to the results of pharmacokinetic and tolerability studies, elderly patients do not need correction of dosing.
