Neomidatan Indications
Parkinson disease (including those provoked by the use of drugs), treatment and prevention of influenza type A, caused by susceptible to amantadine viruses, postherpetic neuralgia.
Contradictions
Hypersensitivity to amantadine or other ingredients of the drug, epilepsy and other seizures, psychosis, severe renal insufficiency, peptic ulcer disease (including history), angle-closure glaucoma, pregnancy and pregnancy planning, breastfeeding.
Children under the age of 10 years.
Dosage & Administration
Inside after eating; capsule is swallowed whole with a little water.
Parkinson Disease: 100 mg / day, 1 week after the beginning of treatment the dose is increased to 100 mg 2 times a day, usually in combination with other antiparkinsonian drugs. The interval between doses should be at least 6 hours.
Addiction may develop during therapy, so after a certain time is necessary to increase the dose. The maximum daily dose is 400 mg. The elderly and patients with renal insufficiency dose reduced. For patients aged 65 years and older daily dose is 100 mg. Treatment is recommended courses with an interval of 2-3 weeks.
