Montel Indications
Children aged 6 to 14 years:
- Additional treatment of persistent asthma mild to moderate severity that not controlled with inhaled corticosteroids and with little control clinical symptoms of asthma using β-agonists short action used if necessary;
- As an alternative to treatment with inhaled corticosteroids, which are used in low doses in patients with persistent asthma, mild, a history of recent years was not serious asthma attacks that required oral corticosteroids, and for those patients who found intolerance to inhaled corticosteroid drugs;
- Prophylactically before physical activity to prevent asthma attacks.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to montelukast or any other drug.
Dosage & Administration
The drug should be used for children under adult supervision.
Used internally to children aged 6 to 14 years: 1 chewing tablet 1 time a day, in the evening, 1 hour before or 2 hours after a meal. Individual choice of dose for this age group is not needed.
Adults and children aged 15 and over used the pill montelukast 10 mg.
