Mirapex Indications

Treatment of signs and symptoms of idiopathic Parkinson's disease in adults as monotherapy (without levodopa) or in combination with levodopa for the flow to later stages of the disease when levodopa effect is reduced or becomes unstable and oscillation occurs therapeutic effect (on-off phenomenon).

Symptomatic treatment of idiopathic restless legs syndrome of moderate to severe in adults in doses no higher than 0.75 mg.

Contradictions

Hypersensitivity to pramipexole or any other component of the formulation.

Dosage & Administration

All information regarding the dosing regard to the form of pramipexole in the form of pramipexole dihydrochloride.

Parkinson disease

The daily dose is administered in 3 doses equal parts.

Initial treatment

The dose must be increased gradually from an initial dose of 0,375 mg / day every 5-7 days. In cases where patients do not arise intolerable side effects, the dose should be titrated to achieve a maximal therapeutic effect.

Maintenance therapy

Individual dose ranging from 0.375 mg to a maximum of 4.5 mg / day. With increasing doses of basic research for the treatment effect was observed, starting with a daily dose of 1.5 mg. Subsequent dosage adjustment should be based on clinical response and the occurrence of adverse reactions.
