LEVASEPT active substance: levofloxacin.
Indication
Bacterial inflammation caused by microorganisms sensitive to the drug:
1) pneumonia;
2) complicated urinary tract infections, pyelonephritis;
3) infections of skin and soft tissues;
4) chronic bacterial prostatitis.
Contraindication
Hypersensitivity to levofloxacin or other fluoroquinolones or to any ingredient of the drug. Epilepsy. The patients complained of side effects tendon after previous use of quinolones. Pregnancy and lactation. Children age.
Dosage and administration
Levasept solution should be administered by slow intravenous infusion of 1 - 2 times a day. The dose depends on the type and severity of the infection and the sensitivity of the pathogen. Usually after a few days of treatment if the patient's condition allows, you can translate it from the original intravenous to oral administration (tablets Levofloxacin 250 mg or 500 mg).
The duration of treatment depends on the disease and should not exceed 14 days.
