Pharmacological properties of LAMICON : terbinafine - is allylamine having a broad spectrum antifungal activity. Terbinafine has an appropriate concentration with respect to fungicidal activity dermatophytes, molds and certain dimorphic fungi.
INDICATIONS: cream. Fungal infections of the skin caused by dermatophytes such as Trichophyton (eg T. rubrum, T. mentagrophytes, T. verrucosum, T. violaceum), Microsporum canis i Epidermophyton floccosum, such as tinea pedis, tinea of the body, tinea groin. Skin candidiasis caused by fungi of the genus Candida (eg Candida albicans). Colorful lichen (Pityriasis versicolor), caused by Pityrosporum orbiculare (also known as Malassezia furfur).
SIDE EFFECTS: in field application of the cream - may be redness, itching or burning sensation, but the need to cease treatment therefore rarely occurs. These symptoms must be distinguished from allergic reactions: itching, skin rash (including bullous), urticaria are rare but require discontinuation. Therefore, in the event of any adverse reactions should seek medical advice.
