Kasark ( Casarc ) Indications

Essential hypertension. Heart failure and breach of left ventricular systolic function (reduced left ventricular ejection fraction £ 40%) as adjunctive therapy for the treatment of angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors or in case of intolerance to ACE inhibitors.

Contradictions

Hypersensitivity to candesartan tsyleksetylu or to any of the excipients of the drug.

Severe hepatic impairment and / or cholestasis.

Dosage & Administration

The dosage of hypertension.

The recommended starting dose and usual maintenance dose is 8 mg once daily. Most of the antihypertensive effect is achieved within 4 weeks. The dose can be increased to 16 mg once daily. If adequate control of blood pressure (BP) is not achieved after 4 weeks treatment dose of 16 mg once daily, the dose may be increased to 32 mg once daily. Therapy should be adjusted according to blood pressure response.

Elderly patients. Initial dose adjustment for elderly patients is not required.

Patients with a decrease in intravascular blood volume.

Patients at risk for hypotension, such as patients with a possible decrease in blood volume should be considered an initial dose of 4 mg.
