Nimesulide Indications

Treatment of acute pain.

Symptomatic treatment of osteoarthritis pain.

Primary dysmenorrhea.


Hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any component of the drug. Hypersensitivity reactions (bronchospasm, rhinitis, urticaria) in the use of aspirin or other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs in history.

Hepatotoxic reactions to the drug in history. Concomitant use of potentially hepatotoxic drugs.

Alcoholism, drug addiction. The active form of gastric ulcer or duodenal ulcer, presence of relapse of peptic ulcer or gastrointestinal bleeding history or bleeding that accompanies other diseases.

Severe blood coagulation disorders. Severe heart failure. Severe renal insufficiency (creatinine clearance <30 mL / min). Liver failure. Increased body temperature and flu-like symptoms. Suspected acute surgical pathology.


Dosage & Administration.

Nimesulide is prescribed after careful assessment of risk / benefit ratio.

Apply the lowest effective dose for the shortest time to relieve side effects.

The maximum duration of treatment nimesulide - 15 days.

Tablets are taken orally.

Adults. The recommended dose is 100 mg 2 times a day after meals.

Patients older. Dose adjustment is required.

Teens (ages 12 to 18). Dose adjustment is required.

Patients with impaired renal function. Due to the pharmacokinetics of the drug, patients with mild to moderate renal insufficiency (creatinine clearance - 30-80 ml / min) change the dose is required. In severe renal insufficiency (creatinine clearance <30 mL / min), the drug is contraindicated.

Patients with impaired hepatic function. The use of nimesulide 100 mg tablets for the treatment of patients with liver failure is contraindicated (see. "Contraindications").
