Finalgel Indications
- for local maintenance treatment of pain and inflammatory syndrome in diseases of the musculoskeletal system, tendinitis and tenosynovitis; humeroscapular periarthritis;
- druising, sprains, dislocations of joints.
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to piroxicam or any inactive ingredients such as propylene glycol
- Previous hypersensitivity reactions (eg asthma, skin reactions or acute rhinitis) to acetylsalicylic acid or other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs
- III first trimester of pregnancy and lactation (see. Section "Pregnancy and lactation")
- Renal failure
Dosage & Administration
If not otherwise assigned, then depending on the area of pain areas applied to 1 g of gel (about the size of a hazelnut) 3-4 times a day. The maximum daily dose is 4 g of gel, equivalent to 20 mg piroxicam.
The gel is intended for external use only and should be rubbed into the skin until complete disappearance of residual gel. Occlusive dressing (bandage closed) are not recommended. Avoid contact of the gel with eyes, mucous membranes, open wounds or inflamed skin.
Remains of gel that are not fully rub the skin may cause slight temporary blanching of the skin or leave marks on clothes.

The duration of treatment determined by the physician individually. Usually the treatment is 1-2 weeks.
Children
Finalgel is contraindicated for children under 14 years. Children under 14 years not to apply because of lack of sufficient therapeutic experience.
