Inokain Indications
Short-term local anesthesia in ophthalmology at:
- Remove foreign particles from the cornea and conjunctiva;
- Conducting ocular tonometry, honioskopiyi and other diagnostic tests;
- Preparation for subconjunctival and retrobulbar injections.
Contraindications
- severe heart failure;
- allergic reaction;
- thyrotoxicosis;
- penetrating wound eye open;
- eye infections;
- hypersensitivity to the drug or to other local anesthetics of para-aminobenzoic acid ester or amide groups.
Dosage & Administration
Locally.
Remove foreign particles from the cornea and conjunctiva: Remove halazion - 1 drop of 90-second intervals (5 minutes anesthesia).
Holding ocular tonometry, honioskopiyi and other diagnostic tests, instilled into the conjunctival sac of 1 drop. Surface anesthesia of the cornea and conjunctiva occurs within 1 minute. Long-term anesthesia (1 hour) provides triple instillation at intervals of 4-5 minutes.
Before the subconjunctival or retrobulbar injection 3 times 1 drop at intervals of 5 minutes.
