Hydrocortisone Pos Indications
- Allergic conjunctivitis
- Acute and chronic iritis, iridocyclitis, uveitis, chorioretinitis
- Sympathetic ophthalmia, postoperative irritation
- Restoring corneal transparency after suffering keratitis (chemical) burns
- Inhibition of neovascularization
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients of the drug
- Epithelial herpetic keratitis, or other viral diseases of the eye
- Bacterial infections of the eye
- Wounds and ulcerative lesions of the cornea
- Open and angle-closure glaucoma
- Ocular tuberculosis or fungal infections of the eye
Dosage & Administration
A strip of ointment of approximately 1 cm to lay into the conjunctival sac several times a day. Usually, treatment duration should not exceed 2 weeks. Depending on the clinical picture should periodically monitor the effectiveness of treatment in order to determine the feasibility extension or change of therapy.
Applying eye ointment, you should avoid contact tip tubes of eye or skin.
