Herpevir Indications
Treatment of infections caused by the herpes simplex virus in patients with severe immunodeficiency and genital herpes in patients without immunodeficiency.
- Prevention of infections caused by the herpes simplex virus in patients with immunodeficiency.
- Treatment of infections caused by the virus Varicella zoster.
- Treatment of herpes encephalitis.
- Treatment of infections caused by the herpes simplex virus in infants.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to acyclovir or valaciclovir.
Dosage & Administration
Apply by slow intravenous infusion over at least 1 hour. Treatments Gerpevir intravenous usually lasts 5 days, but the duration can change depending on the patient's condition and response to therapy. Treatment of herpes encephalitis usually lasts 10 days.
Treatment of infections in newborns caused by herpes simplex virus, usually lasts 14 days with skin and mucous membranes and 21 days - with the dissemination and central nervous system.
The duration of prophylactic use of intravenous Gerpevir determined by the duration of risk.
