Sokard Indications
- Treatment of hypertension of adults and children aged 6 years.
- Postinfarction state.
- Treatment of clinically stable adult patients with symptomatic heart failure or asymptomatic left ventricular systolic dysfunction after a recent (12 hours - 10 days) myocardial infarction.
- Treatment of symptomatic heart failure in adult patients when you can not use angiotensin-converting enzyme (APF), or as adjunctive therapy with ACE inhibitors when you can not use beta blockers.
Contradictions
Hypersensitivity to the active substance or to peanuts or soya to any of the excipients. Severe hepatic impairment, miliary cirrhosis and cholestasis. Severe renal impairment (creatinine clearance below 10 ml / min). The drug is contraindicated in patients who are on hemodialysis.
Dosage & Administration
Sakord can be used regardless of the meal, the tablet should drink water.
Hypertension.
The recommended dose is 80 mg 1 time a day. The antihypertensive effect is achieved within 2 weeks and maximum effect - for 4 weeks. For some patients with inadequately controlled blood pressure can increase the dose to 160 mg and the maximum - 320 mg.
Where monotherapy Sakordom not carried out, start treatment with lower doses.
Sakord also be used with other antihypertensive agents. Concomitant use of diuretics such as hydrochlorothiazide, reduce blood pressure in these patients.
Hypertension of children.
Children under 6 years
The starting dose is 40 mg once daily for children weighing less than 35 kg and 80 mg once daily for children weighing 35 kg or more.
