Meldonium Indications
For oral introduction:
- complex therapy of ischemic heart disease (angina, myocardial infarction), congestive heart failure, cardiomyopathy dyshormonal;
- in the complex therapy of acute and chronic cerebrovascular events (stroke and cerebrovascular insufficiency);
- reduced working capacity, physical stress (including the athletes), post-operative period to accelerate the rehabilitation;
- abstinence syndrome in chronic alcoholism (in combination with specific alcoholism therapy).
For parabulbarly introduction: acute circulatory disorder in the retina, hemophthalmus and retinal hemorrhages of different etiologies, thrombosis of the central retinal vein and its branches, retinopathy of various etiologies (including diabetic and hypertensive) - only for parabulbarno administration.
Contraindications
Increased intracranial pressure (including the violation of the venous outflow, intracranial tumors), pregnancy, lactation (breastfeeding), children and teens up to 18 years, increased sensitivity to meldonium.
Dosage & Administration
In connection with the possibility of exciting effect it is recommended to use in the morning. Dose is set individually, depending on the indication and the route of administration.
When administered single dose of 0.25-1 g, dosing frequency and duration of treatment depends on the indication.
With a dose of 0.5-1 g 1 time / day, the duration of treatment depends on the indication.
Parabulbarly injected 0.5 ml injection solution with a concentration of 500 mg / 5 ml for 10 days.
