Glucosamine Orion Indications

Symptomatic treatment of osteoarthritis is pain and limited movement.
 

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to glucosamine or to any of the excipients; abnormal liver function and kidney stage of decompensation, predisposition to bleeding. 

The drug should not be administered to patients with hypersensitivity to shellfish, since the active ingredient is obtained from shellfish.

Dosage & Administration

Use internally.
Adults and elderly patients: the contents of 1 package, equivalent to 1500 mg of glucosamine sulfate, dissolved in a glass of water and take 1 per day, preferably during meals.

Treatment course: 4-12 weeks or longer (if necessary).

For prescription treatment can be repeated 2-3 times a year at intervals of
2 months, as well as relapse.

Glucosamine is not indicated for the treatment of acute painful symptoms. Effect of glucosamine sulfate begins 1-2 weeks after starting treatment, and in some cases - later. If symptoms eased after 2 to 3 months, glucosamine treatment should be reconsidered.

Children. The drug does not apply to children as safety and efficacy for these patients have not been established.
