Nicotinic Acid Indications
- Prevention and treatment of pellagra (vitamin deficiency PP);
- Atherosclerosis;
- Hypoacid gastritis;
- Vasospasm (brain, kidney, limbs);
- Neuritis of the facial nerve;
- Long-term healing wounds and ulcers of different origin and localization.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to nicotinic acid or other ingredients. Arterial hypertension (severe), gastric ulcer and duodenal ulcer (in the acute phase), expressed human liver, active hepatitis, dekompensirovany diabetes, urolithiasis, hyperuricemia, gout.
Dosage & Administration
Administered orally after meals.
When pellagra adults appoint 100 mg 2-4 times a day for 15-20 days; children to 12 years - 50 mg 2-3 times a day.
In other diseases adults appoint 50 mg (100 mg) 2 times a day, children from 12 years - 25 mg (tablet has a separate bar) 2 times a day.
Higher doses for adults: single - 100 mg daily - 500 mg.
Higher doses for children: single - 50 mg daily - 200 mg.
In atherosclerosis (in the absence of side effects), a single dose can be gradually increased up to 500 mg-1 g, and the daily - 2-3 g
