Emlodin Indications
- Hypertension.
- Chronic stable angina.
- Vasospastic angina (Prinzmetal angina).
Contraindications
Emlodin contraindicated in:
- Known hypersensitivity to dihydropyridines, amlodipine or any other component of the product;
- Severe arterial hypotension;
- Shock (including cardiogenic shock);
- Obstruction output tract of the left ventricle (eg aortic stenosis severe);
- Unstable angina. Application within 8 days after myocardial infarction.
Dosage & Administration
Adults. For the treatment of hypertension and angina is usually recommended starting dose is 5 mg Emlodin amlodipine 1 per day. Depending on the patient's response to therapy, the dose may be increased to a maximum dose of 10 mg 1 time a day.
Children under 6 years old. The recommended starting dose Emlodin for this category of patients is 2.5 mg once daily 1. If you need blood pressure is achieved within 4 weeks, the dose can be increased to 5 mg per day. Application of the drug at doses above 5 mg for these patients has not been studied.
Elderly patients. There is no need for dose selection for this category of patients.
