Fosidal Indications
- Treatment of acute and chronic inflammation of the upper respiratory tract and respiratory tract infections (otitis media, sinusitis, rhinitis, nasopharyngitis, tracheitis, rynotraheobronhit, bronchitis) in the complex treatment of asthma.
- Seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis and other allergic manifestations of the respiratory system and otolaryngology.
- Respiratory manifestations of measles, influenza.
- Symptomatic treatment of whooping cough.
Contraindications
Fosidal contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any other component of the drug.
The drug is contraindicated in children less than 2 years.
Dosage & Administration
For oral administration.
Assign children older than 2 years and adults.
The daily dose should be divided into 2-3 receptions and taken before meals.
The recommended daily dose should be administered on the basis of body weight and age, but it should not exceed the recommended daily dose (see. The following information).
Children under 2 years old, the recommended dose is 4 mg / kg body weight (2 ml / kg).
If body weight less than 10 kg: dose is 2 to 4 teaspoons of syrup (10-20 ml) respectively fenspiride hydrochloride 20-40 mg per day.
If body weight over 10 kg: dose is 2 to 4 tablespoons of the syrup (30-60 ml) under 60-120 mg fenspiride hydrochloride per day.
