EFLORAN INDICATIONS

- treatment and prevention of bacterial infections caused by susceptible microorganisms (different types of Bacteroides spp, Fusobacteria spp, Clostridium spp, Eubacterium spp, Gardnerella vaginalis, and anaerobic cocci, Trichomonas, Entamoeba histolytica, Giardia lamblia, Balantidium coli....);
- prevention of postoperative anaerobic infections caused by different types of Bacteroides spp. and Streptococci;
- treatment of septicemia, bacteraemia, peritonitis, brain abscess, necrotizing pneumonia, osteomyelitis, puerperal sepsis, pelvic abscess and post-operative wound infection;
- urogenital trichomoniasis in women (Trichomonas vaginitis) and men;
- nonspecific vaginitis;
- all forms of amoebiasis;
- giardiasis;
- ulcers of the lower extremities, and pressure sores caused by anaerobic microorganisms;
- acute dental infection (acute pericoronitis, acute apical infection).

APPLICATION

Orally
Tablets are swallowed without chewing, drinking water, during or after a meal. The treatment lasts for 7 days. If necessary, given the type of infection and the duration of treatment can be increased, depending on indications.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

- hypersensitivity to metronidazole or other drugs with similar chemical structures (nitroimidazole) and to other components of the formulation;
- I trimester of pregnancy - for the drug in tablet form;
- during pregnancy - for the drug in the form of p-ra for infusion;
- lactation.
