Omez Indications
- Ulcer of the duodenum.
- Prevention of recurrent duodenal ulcers.
- Ulcer of the stomach.
- Prevention of recurrent stomach ulcers.
- In combination with appropriate antibiotics for the eradication of Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) in peptic ulcer disease.
- Ulcer of the stomach and duodenum associated with the use of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs).
- Prevention of gastric and duodenal ulcers associated with the use of NSAIDs in patients at risk.
- Treatment of reflux esophagitis.
- Prolonged treatment for patients with inactive reflux esophagitis.
- Treatment of symptomatic gastroesophageal reflux disease.
- Treatment for Zollinger-Ellison syndrome.
Contradictions
Hypersensitivity to domperidone, omeprazole or to other components of the drug. Prolactin-secretory tumor of the pituitary gland (prolactinoma).
Gastrointestinal bleeding, mechanical intestinal obstruction, perforation of the stomach or intestine.
Dosage & Administration
The drug should be used only intravenously and can not be administered in any other way.
The solution should be used immediately after cooking, but not later than after 3 hours. The diluted solution of omeprazole can not be stored in the refrigerator. Unused solution should be destroyed.
