Dicor Long Indications
- treatment and prevention of angina (including myocardial infarction);
- treatment of severe chronic heart failure in combination with digitalis, diuretics, ACE inhibitors.
Dosage & Administration
In the absence of other recommendations apply regardless of the meal, not chewing and drinking plenty of water.
Dicor Long 20 mg: 1 tablet 2 times a day. The second / next dose should be taken no earlier than 6-8 hours after the first dose. With increased demand for nitrates daily dose can be increased to 1 tablet 3 times a day, every 6 hours (about 6:00 and 12:00 last dose - about 18:00).
Dicor Long 40 mg: 1 tablet 1 time per day. With increased needs for preparation daily dose may be increased to two tablets one time per day; It recommended that the last dose taken around 18:00.
Dicor Long 60 mg: 1 tablet 1 time per day. With increased demand for nitrates daily dose may be increased to two tablets one time per day. The second / next dose should be taken no earlier than 6-8 hours after the first dose.
Treatment should begin with minimal doses, gradually increasing the dose to the required. The maximum daily dose is 120 mg. Duration of treatment is determined individually. The drug is intended for long-term use, which can not abruptly stop.
There is no evidence of the need to change the dosage for elderly patients.
Contradictions
- hypersensitivity to ISDN, other nitrate compounds or to any excipients;
- acute circulatory failure (shock, collapse);
- cardiogenic shock (if appropriate measures are not supported by a sufficient level of end-diastolic pressure);
- hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy;
- constrictive pericarditis;
- cardiac tamponade;
- severe hypotension (systolic blood pressure <90 mm Hg. Art.);
- therapy with nitrates can not use the PDE inhibitors, such as sildenafil.
